What is Audition Technique?
You take acting classes to become a good actor, right?! Right. But not all good actors are good at auditioning. Auditioning requires skill and techniques of it's own. This class teaches you how to take your hard earned acting skills and apply them to your auditions...so you can actually BOOK JOBS!
In this class you will....
Apply various techniques to make your auditions look professional, fresh, and uniquely YOU!
Analyze and breakdown scripts to find the writers' intentions.
Handle auditions for different genres.
Learn active listening skills to make your reactions pop with LIFE!
What to do when a scene calls for physicality and action.
Improvisational tools to build spontaneity and specificity.
Technical fundamentals and best practices of a self-tape audition.
What does this six week Zoom Class include?
Weekly co-star / guest star self-tape “mock” auditions with individualized feedback.
As well as learning various techniques, the actor will work on honing in on their "type" in this class by selecting their own audition sides from our library.
You will learn to effectively evaluate your own work.
Students will walk away with an AUDITION CHECKLIST to refer to for real life auditions.
By the end of Audition Technique Class, students will understand how to use various audition techniques and self-tape fundamentals to submit STANDOUT SELF-TAPES. They will be adequately prepared and confident for their co-star and guest star auditions.
